A wide range of woods, including wenge, mahogany, ebony and maple are stored and dried for at least five years, before being used to make the different parts of a guitar or bass.

To guarantee precision, wood machines are employed alongside the craftsmen’s manual work: circular saws, jointers and thickness planers are used to cut and adjust the thickness of the wood. The bandsaw is used to scribe the wood, which will later give the instrument its shape. The spindle moulding machine is used to make mouldings.
This is how each “Paul Lairat” guitar and bass is made.
